The Australia- Peru Chamber of Commerce welcomes Legislation for Peru-Australia Free Trade Agreement passed the Senate on the 26th of November.
This Comprehensive and Progressive new generation agreement provides unique preferential access to Australian businesses and exporters to the Peruvian market, one of the fastest growing economies in Latin America and globally in the last two decades. And is a step further in consolidating its presence and integration with Latin America.
PAFTA provides solid foundation for commercial bilateral integration. Its 29 chapters provide improved conditions for services and investment in mining and education, opportunities for Australian businesses under a major infrastructure development program, in financial services, intellectual property, environment, small and medium-sized enterprises, transparency, among others.
